Meet our staff

Jack T. Douglas is the founder, CEO and president of User Friendly Concepts, Inc. He has a BS Degree in Liberal Arts with a business concentration from the State University of New York, and graduate studies at Central Michigan University. Mr. Douglas is a retired US Army Major. His last assignment was at the US Army Ordnance Center & School, as an instructor and training developer for the leadership, management,and tactics department, and later as the Chief of the Distributed Training Technology Office. He specialized in the evaluation and implementation of emerging technology for use in skills training for soldiers worldwide. He is currently an adjunct technology instructor at Johns-Hopkins University and University of Maryland. He is a certified instructor and training developer, US Army.

Osama A. Morad, Ph.D is our Principal Instructional Designer. Dr. Morad is currently completing his Master Degree in Instructional Systems Development at the University of Maryland (June 2004). Dr, Morad holds a Doctoral Degree in Computer Science and two Master Degrees; one in Computer Science and one in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Morad developed and uses a very effective instructional development methodology that he applies to the many courses he designed and developed. The development methodology is architecture-centric, content-driven, iterative and incremental. Dr. Morad also specializes in distance education methodologies and practices. He is the chief architect of an online delivery system that is based on off-the shelf components.

Andy Gelernter – Andy is a Senior Instructional Designer / Training Analyst with more than 20 years experience in training and technology. Andy has produced Computer-Based training and multimedia applications since 1989. He has a Master of Computer-Based Education, and is an expert Instructional Designer and computer programmer. Andy is also a Certified Economic Developer Trainer (CEDT) by the State of Georgia. Andy has a broad background in adult learning theories and training includes Training Plans, CBT, e-Learning, manuals, job-aids, classroom instruction, train-the-trainer, and blended solutions. His Instructional Design skills include defining goals, conducting needs analysis, developing objectives, job task analysis, audience analysis, gap analysis, and Comprehensive Training Plan development.
